15d: Low Voltage Alarm

Purpose:

The Flysky GT3B/C has always had a low battery voltage alarm, but it wasn't adjustable. Which was all fine and dandy if the stock power arrangement was kept, but many people have converted the GT3B to use Lithium Polymer batteries and the GT3C also switched over to a single cell lithium battery. So the adjustable low power alarm was added to the new firmware. Assuming the battery voltage was calibrated correctly in the calibration menu, this allowed each radio's alarm to be adjusted for the battery type in use.

How to access this sub menu:

The Low Voltage Alarm mini menu is accessible from the the Global Menu. It should be the fourth mini menu upon entering the Global Menu. To find it scroll till the LOW POWER!!! segment on the lcd is displayed.

  • Starting from the Home Screen
  • Press enter-LONG
  • Scroll till LOW POWER!!! is displayed on the lcd. (Generally in the upper left hand corner)
  • Press enter-SHORT

How to use this menu:

There is only one parameter that can be changed in this mini menu, the low voltage threshold setpoint. After entering the mini menu, the scroll wheel can change the minimum voltage which the battery can have before the alarm sounds. Anywhere between 2 Volts to 10.5 Volts.

  • Use the scroll wheel to adjust low voltage threshold setpoint.
  • Press enter-SHORT to return to the global menu
  • Or press enter-LONG, END, or BACK to exit the menu.

Screen Indicators:

While the Low Voltage Mini Menu is open, the following should occur

  • The Model and Name icon at the top of the screen will be flashing back and forth
  • There will be an LOW POWER!!! segment displayed on the LCD
  • There will be a V displayed on the far right hand side of the screen

Other Noteworthy information:

Make sure the battery voltage level was properly calibrated. See the Calibration Menu article
