15c: Inactivity Alarm

Purpose:

The purpose of the Inactivity mini menu is to sound a buzzer if the radio hasn't been used after a user settable amount of time . This is great feature because it reduces the risk leaving the radio on for no reason and having a dead battery next time the radio is needed.

How to access this sub menu:

The Inactivity mini menu is accessible from the the Global Menu. It should be the third mini menu upon entering the Global Menu. To find it scroll till there is an I shown on the seven segment display.

  • Starting from the Home Screen
  • Press enter-LONG
  • Scroll till I is shown on the seven segment display
  • Press enter-SHORT

How to use this menu:

There is only one parameter that can be changed in this mini menu, the time before alarm parameter. After entering the mini menu, the scroll wheel can change the amount of time of inactivity before the alarm sounds. Anywhere between OFF (Never sound the alarm) to 10 Minutes

  • Use the scroll wheel to adjust the time before alarm parameter
  • Press enter-SHORT to return to the global menu
  • Or press enter-LONG, END, or BACK to exit the menu.

Screen Indicators:

While the Inactivity Mini Menu is open, the following should occur

  • The Model and Name icon at the top of the screen will be flashing back and forth
  • There will be an I in the seven segment display

Other Noteworthy information:

Inactivity is defined as NO input to the radio. So no button presses or movement in the trigger or steering wheel.
